Listed by Service Learning & Impact in Community Engagement

About

Volunteer in the Boulder community for National Volunteer Week April 17th through April 22nd. Participants can volunteer on various one time service projects offered throughout the week and will gain an understanding of social and environmental issues, engage in direct service, reflect on their impact and learn about continued engagement in communities. Food and transportation are provided by the Volunteer Resource Center and each project is lead by a student leader.

How to Participate

  1. Volunteer: Below you can find the five volunteer opportunities we are offering with four different nonprofits. Press "Register," select the projects for which you'd like to volunteer, and follow the prompts to confirmation. You will receive a detailed reminder with all the information you need for your project. All projects will check in with their project leads at the start time listed at the UMC South Terrace and transportation will be provided to the volunteer site.

  2. Donate basic needs items: Donate basic needs items anytime between Monday, April 18th and Friday, April 22nd to the CU Boulder Buff Pantry. Those who would like to donate can either bring food to the Volunteer Resource Center's office, UMC 458, or bring it to a check-in site if they are participating on a volunteer project.

    Needed items:

    1. Non-perishable food

    2. Personal care items (soap, deodorant, shampoo/conditioner)

    3. Menstrual care items
