CU in the Neighborhood: July Move-Out
Listed by Off-Campus Life
About
The end of the academic year marks a bustling time for our off-campus communities as students prepare to head out of Boulder for the summer or to new housing. Hundreds of students moving out during a short period of time in a neighborhood can certainly cause some impacts. To reduce the amount of items left behind, or unnecessary waste added to landfill, Off-Campus Life and the Environmental Center are providing this fantastic program in surrounding campus neighborhoods to assist our students with directing their unwanted items into the correct streams - landfill (e.g. broken items that cannot be reused) reusable items (e.g. gently used furniture and other household goods) and hard-to-recycle items (e.g. electronics that cannot go to landfill).
We are looking for volunteers to help with set up and take down of our our move-out stations in the University Hill and Goss Grove neighborhoods as well as talking to students to advise them on what stream their items should go (landfill, reuse, hard-to-recycle).
